Overview

This privacy policy describes how Made by Maverick ("we", "our", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you interact with our Instagram Business account @sniffedbymav or our connected management tools.

We use a management application connected to the Instagram Graph API and Messenger Platform to help us respond to customer messages, publish content, and review account performance. This policy explains what data that application accesses and how we handle it.

What Data We Access

Through our connection to the Instagram API, we access the following data exclusively for the @sniffedbymav account:

  • Direct messages: When you send us a DM on Instagram, we receive and read your message so we can respond to your inquiry. This includes your Instagram-scoped user ID and message content.

  • Comments: We view comments left on our posts so we can reply to questions and manage our community.

  • Account insights: We access our own account metrics (impressions, reach, follower count, engagement) to understand how our content performs. We do not access any data about your personal account or activity.

  • Profile information: We access our own account's profile data (username, biography, follower count) for account management purposes.

How We Use Your Data

We use the data described above solely for these purposes:

  • Responding to your direct messages and answering product questions

  • Replying to comments on our posts

  • Understanding our account performance through aggregate metrics

  • Publishing content to our own Instagram account

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to managing our single Instagram Business account.

Data Storage and Retention

Message content is processed in order to generate responses and is not retained beyond what is necessary to complete the conversation. We do not maintain a separate database of your messages or personal information.

Our management tools run on private, locally-hosted infrastructure. Your data is not stored on third-party cloud services beyond what Instagram/Meta already provides.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal data with any third parties. Your messages and information stay between you and Made by Maverick.

The only external service that processes your data is Meta (Instagram/Facebook), which operates under its own privacy policy.

Data Security

We protect access to our Instagram management tools using secure authentication tokens and encrypted connections. Access is restricted to the business owner. We do not expose API credentials or customer data publicly.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Request deletion: Ask us to delete any data we hold about you by contacting us at the email below.

  • Stop communication: You can stop messaging us at any time. We will never send you unsolicited messages.

  • Access your data: Request a summary of any data we hold related to your interactions with our account.

We will respond to all data requests within 30 days.

Children's Privacy

Our services are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued interaction with our Instagram account after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
